HHS Deputy Secretary Tevi Troy Visits Northern Ireland

Deputy Secretary Troy and the Honorable Michael McGimpsey, Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Northern Ireland discuss public health issues, investment in Northern Ireland, and other key issues.Deputy Secretary Troy joined Michael McGimpsey, Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety in opening "Connected Health Expo Day" in Northern Ireland.  They also met and discussed public health issues, investment in Northern Ireland and other issues of mutual interest.  After a working luncheon with pharmaceutical stakeholders and scientists at the U.S. Consul General's residence, the Deputy Secretary co-chaired the fifth steering group meeting of the U.S.-Ireland Research and Development Partnership at Queen's University in Belfast, where he presented three HHS deliverables, which the steering committee greatly appreciated.  The Deputy Secretary also attended the opening reception of the U.S.-Northern Ireland Investment Conference, where he met with the Right Honorable Ian Paisley, First Minister of the State of Northern Ireland.
