Subject: New Hire Procedures- Criminal Court Record Checking
Over the course of the last several weeks we have working diligently to ensure that all the employees,
contractors, performing services for RM Global Health have been thoroughly and properly credentialed.
Part of this process has involved performing criminal court record checks so that RMGH is in compliance
with the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. This act has a section that specifically
addresses our industry and the people who work and perform services for us. It explicitly states that no
individual who has a felony conviction involving dishonesty or a breach of trust be allowed to be involved
in any our transactions. In fact most of our customer contracts reference this act and mandate our
compliance. The fact that this law carries criminal penalties (jail time)instead of civil sanctions (fines)
shows how seriously this issue viewed. Non-compliance can mean serious consequences for all involved.
A person who fails to comply could potentially lose his business or job.
RM Global Health is committed to ensuring that every employee and contractor, regardless of their role,
has had the appropriate records checked.
NO CONTRACTOR OR EMPLOYEE WILL BE CREDENTIALED OR SET UP FOR PAYROL IN OUR
SYSTEMS UNTIL ALL PAPERWORK, INCLUDING THE FAXED DOCUMENT INDICAITING THAT THE
CRIMINAL COURT RECORD (CCR) IS CLEAR HAS BEEN RECEIVED. WE ARE COMMITED TO PROTECTING
THE COMPANY, OUR EMPLOYEES, OUR CUSTOMERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY ENFORCING THIS
POLICY WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
P.S. Examiners who already had their criminal record checked with our vendors do not need to do it again.
