April 2, 2007 – The Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator has amended the Annual Program Statement (APS) for the New Partners Initiative to move the deadline for the submission of the next round of concept papers, and to do away with the planned fourth round.
Originally the solicitation called for four rounds of concept papers, reviewed on a revolving basis. Because of the extremely large number of organizations that submitted concept papers in November 2006, the Executive Committee of the New Partners Initiative (NPI) has decided to postpone the deadline for the third round of concept papers until October 5, 2007, and to make this year's competition the last round under this solicitation. The Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator expects to make final awards from the third and final round by the end of June 2008.
